Certificate for the Swedish Armed Forces and Police Authority
If you have ADHD or ADD and wish to do military service or apply to the Swedish Defense University or Police Academy, a medical certificate may be required. The requirements for the certificate are clearly described on each authority’s website.
The certificates must be issued by a psychiatrist and are always paid for by the applicant. The psychiatrist issues the certificate based on their assessment and can never guarantee that the applicant will be accepted by the Swedish Armed Forces/Police Authority.
In order for the psychiatrist to make an assessment and issue the certificate, you need to book a first visit with a psychiatrist. In addition to this, accompanying administration time is required. If you have questions, a telephone/video consultation with the psychiatrist can be booked before the initial visit.
Other Certificates (e.g. for the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and Transport Agency)
If you or your child are currently receiving care from us, certificates may be issued for an administrative fee.
If you or your child are not currently in contact with us, a doctor’s appointment is required for assessment and issuing of the certificate.
